It’s been almost a month since the mid season finale of Battlestar Galactica, and fans are still asking questions.
I have come across several images that have raised a few questions of my own. First, take a look at these two images of Galen Tyrol:
Notice something strange about Tyrol? He’s SMILING. Why would he be smiling considering he is standing in the radioactive ruins of what we assume to be Earth. Now, that brings me to this next image:
For those of you that still believe that this is New York City, look VERY carefully at the center of this image. Do you see what appears to be a half submerged statue? While it appears to be the Statue of Liberty, there is one tell-tale sign that it is not: Look carefully at the left arm. The Statue of Liberty has no space between the arm and the body.
Now, look at this artists rendering of the Colossus of Rhodes:
In my opinion, the statue in the ruins looks more like this that the Statue of Liberty. So, that begs the question: Where are these ruins? If we consider the mythology incorporated in the storyline of BSG, involving Greek gods, then it is possible that this is a planet other than Earth, where the 13th Colony settled and wiped themselves out, and quite possibly a small remnant escaped to Earth.
Whatever the case, this is definitely NOT New York City!
