Facebook Nazi’s Attack!

Yesterday I was quite shocked to discover that my Facebook account had been disabled when I tried to log in. I received no notice from FB that I had posted or behaved in an inappropriate manner, nor had I posted any objectionable material.  (Granted, several months ago, I did receive a warning after e-mailing my ex bro-in-law a nasty message.)  Unless one considers a picture of can of Heinz Beans With Balls, and a can of Heinz Spotted Dick, both actual products, offensive, I cannot figure out what I did.

I have received far more “objectionable” material than this from various friends. If I find it too offensive I simply remove it and I may tell that person to please not send any similar material in the future. Now, there are times when things that friends send using applications, and those things end up in Newsfeeds.  A friend asked me to remove the pornography from my feed one night.  I was quite shocked because I had not posted any pornographic images on my FB page, as that violates FB’s Terms Of Service.  It turns out that another friend was using a certain Application, and had posted something, and it ended up in my Newsfeed. I immediately dealt with it, problem solved.

There are certain people, known as “Facebook Nazi’s”, that troll people who have their privacy settings set so that everyone can see their profiles. Their agenda is simply this: Report anything that they deem objectionable.  Why do they do this? There could be a number of reasons from trying to impose their moral beliefs on others, to those that have grudges.  Then there are those that are simply @ss-wipes that like to complicate the lives of others since they apparently have nothing else to do. (For an example, see the responses to my post, “Suck My Lolipop”, or simply watch Fox News.)

So, to the person (and I have an idea of who you are)  that reported my FB Account for something I apparently did, but have no idea what, because there is nothing objectionable to report, my heartiest congratulations.  You have proven, once again, how much of a d****e-bag you are.

Also, to the mods at FB,  you have a responsibility to your users to inform them when a complaint has been filed, and disclose the nature of that complaint. Instead, you claim that you can disable anyone’s account at any time for no reason whatsoever.  Mark Zuckerman, you owe the over 200 million users who have made you very rich , far better than this.

I have sent 3 e-mails to FB, asking as to the reason for this action.  So far, no response. I’ll keep you informed.

  1. I am pulling out of some groups due to fears that I’ll be warned that I’ll be disabled from FB!

    • there is a way you can hide the groups you belong to and that should decrease fears: 1) Navigate to here: http://www.facebook.com/editapps.php
      2) Click on “Edit Settings” corresponding to your Groups application
      3) Click on the “Profile” tab
      4) Beside “Info Section” click the “(Remove)” link
I hope this will help you talfonso! ;)
