I am proud to be Canadian. I think I live in the best country in the world. However, I would like to relate an experience that I recently had that causes me great concern. Last week, I came down with a major kidney infection. I tried to ignore it for 3 days, drank lots of [...]

Squamish is a fairly small town, halfway between Vancouver and Whistler, BC. However, we are not immune from the problems that plague the larger urban centers. Today, as I left my apartment, I was accosted by a roving gang of thugs. This posse of ruffians lay in wait until I exited my apartment, and then [...]

I just read an artice in the Globe and Mail, which says NHL Governors are talking about putting a second NHL Team in Toronto. For the love of God, stop torturing these poor people. Now they will just have to wait twice as long for hell to freeze over.

This story is one of those “feel good” stories that come along every once in a while. This tourist thought she was going on a dream vacation to Sydney, Australia, but ened up in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Instead of getting upset and throwing a fit, she decided to go with what she had been dealt. [...]

Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Heaven, God went missing for 6 days. Eventually Michael the Archangel found him, resting on the 7th day.
He inquired of God, “Where have you been?”
God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downwards, through the clouds, “Look Michael, look what I’ve made.”
Archangel Michael looked puzzled [...]

Two guys from Toronto die and wake up in hell.
The next day the devil stops in to check on them and sees them dressed in parkas, mittens and toques warming themselves around the fire. The devil asks them, “What are you doing? Isn’t it hot enough for you?”
The two guys reply, “Well, you know, we’re [...]

It seems that our “Dear Leader”, Prime Minister Stephen Harper is fixing to call a snap election for October. While I hate the campaigning that goes on, and the dirty ads that we will undoubtably be exposed to from all sides, I must say that I do love our electoral system. Unlike our friends to [...]
