If, like me, you live in British Columbia, you have Tuesday, May 12, circled on your calendar. That is the day British Columbians go to the polls to elect our next government. The choices:
The ruling Liberals that have allowed spending for the 2010 Winter Olympics to go billion$ over-budget, while thousands of people lose their [...]

There are a few television shows that have captured my attention over the past 8 years: ‘24′, ‘Battlestar Galactica’, and Heroes. These shows have something in common, the battle between good and evil, and the incorporation of elements of terrorism in the story-lines of all three.
In some ways, these shows, over the past several years, [...]

I have just watched the Daily Show With Jon Stewart. Stewart interviewed Bill O’Reilly, and totally owned him. However, I was concerned that Pappa Bear O’Reilly was going to crush my fave Jew:
However, J.S. prevailed, and proved once again, how much of a douche-bag the ultra right wing Pappa Bear really is.

I spent many years as an Evangelical Conservative, and have looked back upon those years and often wondered about my irrational beliefs at times. However, just in case you think it is only extreme right fundamentalists that are on the ‘loony fringe’, a Catholic Priest has decided that Obama voters in his Parish have put [...]

Sarah Palin is everywhere I look these days. I think part of this is in response to the criticism from the media and reports of dissension within the McCain campaign. Some of that criticism, granted, was unfair. I’ve read several blogs stating that she should have aborted her son, who has Down syndrome. Those types [...]

I am so tired of the intolerance displayed by people at the McCain-Palin rallies south of the border. People screaming that Obama is a friend of terrorists, or a secret Muslim displays the level of maturity of the average Republican voter. The question needs to be asked, “Where is this hatred and intolerance coming from?” [...]

Forget water-boarding. America has a new method to extract information from terror suspects being help at Guantanamo Bay, and human rights activists are crying foul, claiming the method violates every aspect of the Geneva Convention. This method is so effective that it has a success rate of extracting information, when used, of virtually 100%.
That method? [...]

September 11, 2001 was a special day at my home. My now ex-wife and I were up early that day. It was our oldest daughter’s first day of kindergarten. We were all so excited and nervous, our little girl was taking her first steps out into the world. I made a pot of coffee (for [...]
